Ysgol y Parc pupils enjoy themselfies at the Assembly!

Ynys Môn AM Rhun ap Iorwerth met with students from Holyhead’s Ysgol y Parc at the National Assembly today.

Rhun met with the pupils in the public gallery of the Assembly chamber and had the opportunity to talk to them about his role as Assembly Member, about how they can get involved, and of course, about the Welsh football team!

Rhun said:

“It was a pleasure to welcome Ysgol y Parc to the Senedd today, and to be able to show them where ‘their’ seat is in the Assembly chamber.

“I had a great discussion with them, and the children were obviously very knowledgeable about the work of the Assembly and they had some fantastic questions for me – about what areas I represent, what I had been talking about in the Senedd this week, and about my favourite football team!

“It was also very encouraging to see that even at 10 years old, they were looking forward to being able to vote at 18, and were already getting involved through their school council.  Thank you Ysgol y Parc – for your questions, for your enthusiasm, and for the several selfies we had!”
