After years of dedicated conservation work by RSPB Malltraeth staff, the bittern nested at RSPB Malltraeth Marsh (Cors Ddyga) on Anglesey this summer – the first time in Wales for 32 years.

“I’m pleased to hear that the Bittern is back in Wales after over 30 years. Congratulations to the staff at Malltraeth Marsh as well as local birdwatchers.

“I support the excellent work that the RSPB Cymru does with regards to birds on Anglesey, especially the Chough, of which I have the honour of being a species champion!”
