Ynys Môn Assembly Member Rhun ap Iorwerth has welcomed the fact that Welsh Government have listened regarding the Menai crossing.

In the Assembly this week, the Cabinet Secretary for the Economy and Infrastructure stated that the Welsh Government are accelerating the work that’s taken place on a business plan for a third crossing on the Menai Straits.

Môn AM Rhun said:

“I will keep up the pressure on government to deliver, but I’m glad to hear the Secretary say that they are accelerating the work on a business plan for the Menai crossing.

“I have pushed hard on this subject, having raised it in the chamber with the Secretary, and I’m pleased that the Welsh Government has listened. It’s important now to move forward to resolve the congestion and resilience issue across the Menai.”
